Financial support programme for students

Continued financial support for the next semester can only be guaranteed if a certificate of matriculation and the required “Leistungsnachweise” (certificates of academic achievement) are presented to the appropriate “Studentenwerk” office responsible for student financial support by the 31st July at the latest (for funding in the winter semester) and the 31st January (for funding in the summer semester).

First-time applications for “BaföG” support should be presented, together with the appropriate documents, to the appropriate Studentenwerk office by the 31st October at the latest (for funding in the winter semester) or the 30th April (for funding in the summer semester).

Applications for continued financial support for the next calendar year, together with the necessary documents, normally have to be handed in to the “Studentenwerk” office responsible for student financial support by the end of the full term (i.e. before the start of the examination period) in summer. If a first-time request for funding is made at the beginning of the winter semester, it is not necessary to make another request for the following term.
